Yesterday I contacted windows support, to which they guided me through an in-place update of my OS and reinstalling the Realtek driver- and it worked just fine last night, but this morning its doing the exact same thing. Sometimes it doesn’t even work upon restarting anyways. The headphone audio works just fine whenever I restart my computer, but as soon as it goes to sleep, its unplugged and plugged back in, or any minor disturbance to the headphones happens, the output device disappears entirely and any and all headphones are unusable until I restart again. I regularly use wired headphones (Beyerdynamics 770s in the dorm and some old apple headphone jack earbuds for on the go), which shows up in output devices as “Headphones (Realtek(R) Audio)”.
